RollerCoaster Tycoon World Dated

RollerCoaster Tycoon World, the latest game in Atari's long-dormant theme park management sim, now has a release date: December 10, 2015.

The game will be released on Steam, and is now up for pre-order with three different versions:

  • Standard Edition ($59.99 NZD)
  • Deluxe Edition ($73.99 NZD) - includes a Panda mascot, digital art book, two additional maps, additional terrain textures, and a Golden Park Entrance
  • RollerCoaster Tycoon Ultimate Bundle ($89.99 NZD) - includes RollerCoaster Tycoon World: Deluxe Edition, RollerCoaster Tycoon: Deluxe, RollerCoaster Tycoon 2: Triple Thrill Pack, and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Platinum.

Additionally, all pre-orders come with five unique peep skins, as well as access to two beta programs.

“For nearly 15 years, the beloved RollerCoaster Tycoonfranchise has captured the hearts of millions of fans across the globe. Our vision for the latest installment, RollerCoaster Tycoon World, is to recapture the spirit of the series while ensuring a next-generation experience,” said Fred Chesnais, Chief Executive Officer, Atari. “By focusing heavily on coaster building, deep simulation, personalization features and user-generated content, we’re giving everyone from casual gamers to the most dedicated RollerCoaster Tycoon players a game they’ll recognize and enjoy, but experience in a whole new way.”

RollerCoaster Tycoon World's development has been something of a rollercoaster ride itself, and is now onto its third developer since it was announced last year at gamescom. The game was initially being developed by Pipeworks, before Area 52 took over last December. In May, Atari announced that development had moved to the current studio, Nvizzio Creations.
