Ni No Kuni 2 Delayed Two Months

If you were hoping to get your hands on Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom this year, some bad news. The upcoming JRPG has been delayed by two months. The game is now slated for a January 19, 2018 launch.

CEO and president of developer Level-5, Akihiro Hino, issued the following statement:

We have decided that more development time is required in order to deliver the full Ni no Kuni II experience to our fans. I deeply apologise to those who have been looking forward to the game's release. Please rest assured, however, that we will continue to strive to provide a deep and satisfying single player experience that our fans can look forward to enjoying.

He also clarified that the game won’t have multiplayer content – despite an interview at E3 indicating the contrary.

You can hear his full statement in the video below. Make sure to turn on English subtitles.

Thank you Akihiro Hino, how did you know??? I wasn't ready to buy it so soon anyways.

I think its good for developers to realise their limitations and "request for more time" on products. Would definitely prefer to wait for the best version of the game they can produce rather than have it launch early and be an unplayable mess

It's not too bad - not like 10 years. We have enough games atm anyway
